The top as shown here is only held together by the caining. The pieces are labled to insure they are assembled in the correct order before the piece is dissassembled, The top is comprised of eight individual pieces, designed for strength when assembled. |

Here is the top to a stool, having it's eight separate pieces that comprise it's top, being glued together.
